This is one of the most common problems with power wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Many models use AGM or gel batteries, and long periods without use can cause them to lose capacity or fall into a deep discharge. In that case, battery replacement may be required. Charging problems can also come from the charger, charging port, wiring, battery connections, fuses, or the controller. Yes. We accept repairs at our Orlando location, but we also know how difficult it can be to transport a heavy wheelchair when it is not working. That is why we offer in-home service throughout Florida and can send a technician directly to you.
Before the appointment, our consultant will try to understand what is wrong with the chair and what parts may be needed. In many cases, our service vehicle already carries the most commonly used parts, so the repair can be completed in one visit. If a specific part is needed, especially for an older or discontinued model, we may need to order it or source a compatible used part, which can require a second visit.
We have worked with a wide range of wheelchair and mobility equipment problems, so most repairs can be diagnosed and completed. The main exceptions are cases where the frame or structure is badly damaged and no longer safe to repair, or when the repair simply does not make financial sense. If that happens, we will explain the situation clearly and discuss the available options with you.

It depends mainly on your location. If you are close to our Orlando service area, same-day service may sometimes be available. For longer-distance appointments, we may schedule the visit for the next 1–2 days so we can coordinate it with other customers in your area.
Yes. Sometimes a repair is no longer worth the cost, especially on an older wheelchair. In that case, we may be able to make you an offer and purchase the chair directly from you, including cash payment and pickup when available.
Before calling for service, there are a few simple things worth checking. Make sure no visible cable or connector has come loose, the chair was not recently exposed to rain or moisture, and the display is not showing an error code. Also check that the motors are set to drive mode and not manual freewheel mode, because that can prevent the chair from moving. If everything looks normal and the chair still will not drive, the problem may be in the joystick, controller, batteries, brakes, motors, wiring, or another part of the drive system.
