Power wheelchair repair
We troubleshoot battery, joystick, controller, motor, and brake problems, along with powered tilt, recline, seat lift, and leg-rest systems on supported wheelchairs.
We repair power wheelchairs and mobility scooters at your home in St. Petersburg and surrounding areas. Whether your chair won't drive, the batteries won't charge, or the tilt and recline functions have stopped working, we can diagnose the problem and recommend the right repair. We work with Permobil, Quantum, Pride Mobility, and many other brands, including older and pre-owned models.
From routine battery replacements to complex electrical problems, we service a wide range of powered mobility equipment. We check the components involved, explain what we've found, and discuss the repair before replacing parts.

We troubleshoot battery, joystick, controller, motor, and brake problems, along with powered tilt, recline, seat lift, and leg-rest systems on supported wheelchairs.

We diagnose charging failures, short battery range, intermittent power loss, throttle problems, and motor or brake issues on three- and four-wheel mobility scooters.
Not sure what's wrong with your chair or whether a repair is worth it? Here are answers to questions we often hear from wheelchair and scooter owners.
Start with the brand and model, a short description of the problem, and your ZIP code. If the joystick displays an error code or flashing lights, send us a photo or video. You don't need to know the exact cause of the failure. The information helps us understand what type of equipment you have and what may need to be checked during the visit.
Not necessarily. A wheelchair can power on normally and still refuse to move because of a brake fault, joystick error, low battery voltage, loose connection, or controller problem. On some models, the freewheel levers may also be disengaged. We check the related systems before recommending a motor or controller replacement.
Yes, we work on powered seating systems found on many Permobil, Quantum, and other rehabilitation wheelchairs. Problems may involve actuators, switches, wiring, or electronic controls. We'll check which function has failed and whether the necessary components are available for your model.
Possibly, but we wouldn't recommend buying new batteries without checking them first. A full charge indicator doesn't always mean the batteries can deliver enough power under load. We can test the battery system and check for charging or connection problems before recommending replacements.
Yes. We service many pre-owned power wheelchairs and mobility scooters, including equipment purchased privately or from another seller. The main considerations are its condition, the type of problem, and parts availability. Send us the model information so we can review it before scheduling.
Some repairs can be completed during the first visit, while others require a model-specific part. If something needs to be ordered, we'll explain what the equipment needs, discuss the estimated cost, and arrange the next step. We won't replace unrelated components simply because they show similar symptoms.
Initial diagnostics are free. We also provide free technician travel within 20 miles of St. Petersburg. For addresses between 20 and 50 miles, an additional travel fee may apply. We'll confirm any charge before scheduling your appointment.
The cost depends on the problem, your equipment model, and the parts required. We can sometimes provide a preliminary estimate from the information you send us, but the final price is determined after inspection. We'll explain the recommended repair and its cost before starting. If you decide not to proceed, we'll respect your decision.
Appointments are typically available within 1–3 days, depending on your location and our schedule. Completed repair work includes a 90-day workmanship warranty. We are a private-pay service and accept cash, bank checks, Zelle, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. We do not bill Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance.
Send the brand, model, your location, and a short description of the problem. Photos or a brief video can help us narrow down the issue and prepare for the appointment.
